A Bit About Me

As a dedicated Turkish language educator with a rich background in teaching and material development, I founded Turkish Academy on January 6, 2021. Since its inception, the academy has successfully attracted over 1000 learners globally. My commitment to advancing Turkish language education was further recognized in 2022 when I was honored with the prestigious Fulbright FLTA Scholarship, leading me to teach at New York University. After completing the Fulbright program in May 2023, I embarked on a role as a virtual Turkish teacher for the esteemed Virtual NSLI-Y scholarship program. Over the past few years, I have been dedicated to creating innovative materials and programs, including an interactive Turkish course book using H5P technology, and self-study programs that cater to learners of all ages and backgrounds. Additionally, I recently partook and worked as a secretariat in ISOHTEL 2024, further expanding my professional involvement in language education.
I am deeply interested in gamification and educational technology, having written and built board games and scenarios that merge my expertise in teaching Turkish with engaging game mechanics. I aspire to be a role model in language education by creating fun, innovative learning materials. My experience also extends to working as an AI trainer and developing a profound understanding of AI technologies. Moreover, I have cultivated skills in building social media communities, thanks to the course "Social Media in Learning Environments (SMILES)" that I took at NYU, enhancing my ability to connect and educate digitally.
